An award-winning storyteller with nearly a decade of journalism experience, Raquel has centered her writing on Latinx culture, women's issues, wellness and social struggles. With an editorial objective to engage, educate and empower, she delivers copy that is clean, well-researched, coherent and impactful. As a speaker and mentor, she helps emerging writers and creatives of color break into the media industry and succeed in their professional lives. Raquel holds a master's degree from New York University's Gallatin School of Individualized Study, where she studied the intersection of race, ethnicity and the news media, and a bachelor's degree in journalism and political science from the University of Central Florida.
